Duties

The Public Works Department is comprised of the Fleet Division, Roads Division, and General Services Division, Water/Sewer Division, and Electric Division.

The General Services Division is comprised of the Beachfront Maintenance unit, Boardwalk Maintenance unit, Building Maintenance unit, Sanitation/Recycling unit, and Senior Citizen Transportation unit.

The Public Works Department is the primary point of contact for:

• Bulk trash collection
• Recycling questions
• Reporting dangerous conditions of public property
• Reporting water main breaks

Recycling Center

The Recycling Center is located at:

900 Bay Boulevard
Seaside Heights, NJ 08751

The Center is open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Center is closed daily from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
